At the heart of the booth was the BetterSteps Challenge, a fun and active experience open to all students. With the help of a motion-detecting app developed specially for the event, each participant had 30 seconds to complete as many jumping jacks or high knees as possible. For every move, a donation in cents was pledged by the SCC team’s sponsors to a charity chosen by the student from a curated list.
More than 130 students joined in throughout the day—cheering each other on, discovering new causes, and seeing how movement can turn into real-world impact. Every participant left with a smile, a Boho-style bracelet, and the pride of having contributed to something meaningful.
The day was a big success and a promising step forward as the School Charity Challenge continues to grow momentum ahead of its first full edition this fall.
